My name is Alex, I’m currently undertaking my Masters of Research under Jane Williamson and Vincent Raoult researching the ecology of sea urchins and sea cucumbers at Norfolk Island. Subtropical islands are becoming increasingly more important to research under global warming, and both sea urchins and sea cucumbers are crucial to reef ecosystems.

Before my Masters, I volunteered in two different departments in the Australian Museum; researching polychaetes under Pat Hutchings and Elena Kupriyanova and identifying gastropods under Des Beechey. Marine invertebrates are a key interest of mine, and every group that I research I fall in love with!
